DUAL SIDED MOUSE EAR BARS (new standard series)
These ear bars are designed specifically for the New Standard Stereotaxic instrument series. Specialized jaw holder cuffs are also available (51647), which securely clamp the zygomatic processes of the skull. The jaw holder cuffs fit over the ends of the ear bars, replacing the rubber tips, providing an alternative non-invasive means of securing the animal’s head in the stereotaxic stage.
DUAL SIDED RAT EAR BARS
Ear Bars have laser-engraved scales, 50mm of calibration and are 6.2 mm square. New Standard and Lab Standard series Ear Bars have a different zero point than those for the 51800 series. Standard (18°) Ear Bars taper at the tip to penetrate far into the ear canal for a more secure hold. Non-puncture Ear Bars have a 45° taper and do not puncture the tympanic membrane.
